    No mention of the domestic energy storage option that is economic, not in 2020 but right now: hot water. Hot water stores 50kWh/m^3 and can provide domestic hot water, space heating or both. To get started, all you need is that PV system that is about to lose its FIT in 2017, an electric hot water tank and a Diverter Unit.
