RenewEconomy and The Driven are proud to announce that they are hosting the Electric Vehicle Transition conference in Sydney in late August.
The electric vehicles transition – even in the absence of a federal government policy – is upon us, and grid operators, regulators, policy markets, utilities and car makers are working out what it means for them and their customers.
Consumers are also hungry for knowledge, and any number of new and old businesses, from software developers to big multi-nationals, are looking for opportunities and a share of the pie.
The Electric Vehicle Transition conference – will be the first significant business-to-business event where these ideas can be discussed, in detail, over a two day conference.
Confirmed speakers already include:
- Mark Butler, Labor’s Shadow Minister for Climate Change and Energy
- Shane Rattenbury, ACT minister
- BloombergNEF analyst Ali Asghar
- Powershop CEO Ed McManus
- Greensync CEO Phil Blythe
- AGL Energy lead, electric vehicles, Kristian Handberg
- Electric Vehicle Council CEO Behyad Jafari
We also have speakers from the Australian Energy Market Operator, the Clean Energy Finance Corporation, Energeia, Hyundai, Essential Energy, Yurika, Transgrid, ABB, Tritium, Chargepoint, Jet Charge and Renew Estate’s Simon Corbell, and EV pioneer Simon Hackett.
Further details of the conference will be released in coming weeks, along with an agenda and pricing. The event is sponsored by ABB, and is being run in association with the Electric Vehicle Council. It will also include a “live” podcast of The Driven podcast.
