COzero announces its first major multi-million dollar international deal with Japan’s ENNET Corporation

PRESS RELEASE

More than 24,000 Japanese businesses will now have access to COzero’s cloud-based energy management platform, EnergyLink, to save evergy and costs.

December 1, 2016, Sydney, Australia – COzero, an Australian energy technology company, today announced a multi-million dollar deal to provide Japan’s ENNET Corporation’s 24,000 customers with access to COzero’s energy management platform EnergyLink.

COzero’s EnergyLink product is a cloud based platform for businesses that maps customers’ baseload energy consumption, and uses neural networks to target issues and identify energy efficiency opportunities to decrease energy consumption and costs.  The EnergyLink platform has demonstrated electricity savings from five to 30 per cent.

The multi-million dollar plus deal is in place for 3 years (with an opportunity to extend) and represents COzero’s first major international agreement for EnergyLink.  COzero’s EnergyLink platform has already been deployed at thousands of sites within Australia including Stockland, Mirvac, Novotel and the Sydney Theatre Company.

In 2013 ENNET initiated an extensive international search to identify and trial the most effective energy management system to offer its customers. COzero was shortlisted alongside a US energy technology provider, before ultimately winning the bid, based on the performance and functionality of the EnergyLink platform.

By 2020 it is expected that smart meters will be installed in nearly every Japanese business and home, as the country embraces a newly deregulated ¥7.5 trillion energy market. ENNET Corporation is the largest new entrant to the Japanese electricity market, and is a joint venture between NTT Facilities, Tokyo Gas and Osaka Gas companies.

Akihiro Goromaru, Manager for Business Development, ENNET, said, “We are very excited to work with COzero. We believe that the EnergyLink platform will allow us to offer new value to our customers and increase competitiveness.”

COzero Chief Executive, Geoffrey Alexander said, “This deal with ENNET is a significant milestone for COzero as the world moves toward smarter energy solutions. The ENNET deal builds on COzero’s strong existing ties with the Japanese energy market and allows us to extend the reach of our energy smart technology to thousands of sites with a major international partner.”
