PRESS RELEASE

19 August 2019, SYDNEY: The Clean Energy Council, Australia’s peak body for the renewable energyindustry, in partnership with Reed Exhibitions Australia, organisers of All-Energy Australia, have today announced the launch of Energy Next 2020.

Energy Next is a new industry exhibition focusing on the latest renewable energy and energy efficiency technology, which will be held for the first time in 2020 at the International ConventionCentre Sydney alongside the Clean Energy Council’s annual Australian Clean Energy Summit, tocreate the most comprehensive clean energy event within New South Wales.

Over two intensive days next July, Energy Next will provide a platform for installers, manufacturers, distributers, renewable energy consultants, engineers and suppliers to discuss the latest industry developments and learn about the leading clean energy technologies.

Held alongside the Australian Clean Energy Summit, the exhibition will showcase the latest renewable energy and energy efficiency solutions from lighting to insulation products, energy monitoring and metering, energy storage, solar and wind energy, distribution networks, project development and low carbon transport. On-floor seminars, practical workshops and networking functions will also be held on the exhibition floor, providing visitors the opportunity to learn more about the transformational energy solutions to solve their renewable energy challenges.

Kane Thornton, Chief Executive of the Clean Energy Council, said the introduction of Energy Next from 2020 would further compliment the Australian Clean Energy Summit, organised by CEC, as a leading industry hub for clean and renewable energy industry engagement.

“Announcing the inaugural edition of Energy Next for 2020 is incredibly exciting, especially following the completion of another highly successful Australian Clean Energy Summit at the end of July. The co-location of Energy Next with next year’s event will generate even further conversations and connections to improve clean energy generation and adoption. We are proud to be partnering with Reed Exhibitions Australia to offer NSW based organisations a clean energy event, which is timely due to the unprecedented boom in wind and solar projects and New South Wales’ target of zero netemissions by 2050.” Mr Thornton said.

Robby Clark, Exhibition Director at Reed Exhibitions Australia, said the creation of Energy Next is reflective of the Australian Clean Energy Summit’s success over the past several years and the opportunities for clean energy and energy efficiency in NSW.

“Energy Next will support the Clean Energy Council’s Australian Clean Energy Summit from 2020, to support clean energy adoption and energy efficiency improvement in New South Wales, which is particularly relevant with over 600 multinational companies and 90 renewable projects valued at $20 billion in the pipeline within the state. The event will be relevant for installers, manufacturers, distributers and suppliers across utilities, energy management, energy storage, onsite renewables, off grid applications and smart grids by offering access to the leading innovative solutions andapproaches to enhance their clean energy usage.”

The inaugural edition of Energy Next will be held on 14 and 15 July 2020 at Sydney’s InternationalConvention Centre (ICC). For more information, please visit: www.energynext.com.au. For exhibiting and sponsorship enquiries, please contact Stephen Cuff at [email protected] or +61 (02) 9422 8921.
