Enova wins at the Green Globe Awards

Enova EnergyĀ has won “Best of the Best” Regional Sustainability Award at Green Globe Awards in Sydney.

The award recognises outstanding achievements of an organisation who has come up with an original and successful initiative in regional or rural areas of New South Wales.

Office of Environment and Heritage Chief Executive Anthony Lean said the varied projects awarded this year are helping ensure NSW builds the most sustainable future possible.

Of Enova Energyā€™s Award, Mr Lean said:

ā€œEnova Community Energy is also breaking new ground with its inspiring business model which is maximising local job creation and recycling 50 per cent of its profits back into the community.

ā€œIā€™m inspired by the pioneering projects and the dedicated people and organisations across our state who are committed to driving us towards a better future for our planet and the next generation.ā€

Stone & Wood were also awarded the Premier’s Award for Environmental Excellence.

The Green Globe Awards are an initiative of the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage and recognise people and organisations committed to working on environmental sustainability ā€“ now and into the future. Awards were announced by the Hon Gabrielle Upton, Minister for the Environment, Local Government and Heritage at a gala event at the Art Gallery of NSW last night, October 19, 2017.

The Green Globe Awards are home to a community of established sustainability professionals and upcoming community influencers.
