CEC splits solar and policy conferences, joins with All Energy

The Clean Energy Council has announced a new deal that will merge its annual national solar conference with All-Energy Australia, to deliver the country’s largest clean energy conference and exhibition in October 2015.

The strategic partnership between the CEC and and Reed Exhibitions Australia – which stages the All-Energy Australia conference each year in Melbourne – aims to create a single event that will deliver scale and quality for the renewable energy sector at a time of ongoing policy uncertainty.

The expert technical program and solar professional development components from the Clean Energy Council’s ATRAA conference will be added to All-Energy Australia in 2015. The Clean Energy Council will run a separate conference in July with a focus on policy and finance.

“As the industry faces uncertainty with the RET review, a partnership seemed the obvious way forward to ensure the same business opportunities are available without the pressure on the industry,” said All-Energy Australia Director Anthony Reed.

Reed said the partnership with the CEC stemmed from a mutual objective to provide the renewable energy industry with access to leading innovations, expertise and operational solutions in one place.allenergyconf

CEC CEO Kane Thornton said the long-running and popular ATRAA dinner would also move to October, taking place on the final day of All-Energy Australia.

“It is exciting to join forces with All-Energy to deliver the sector’s largest event, and we are committed to helping the 2015 event to be a massive success. This will allow the industry to do business and celebrate their successes in one place,” Thornton said.
