PRESS RELEASE

The Australian Government has reappointed Mr Andrew Dyer as the National Wind Farm Commissioner for a further three year term.

The Climate Change Authority’s review of the National Wind Farm Commissioner found that the Commissioner plays a key role in helping people work through issues related to wind farm development and operation.

Mr Dyer will continue to facilitate resolution of complaints from concerned community residents about wind farms.

His role has also been expanded to resolve complaints about large scale solar and storage, including batteries.

Mr Dyer has an extensive background as the former Chairman of the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman Council, and as an executive, consultant and company director in a range of industries including the services, renewable energy and information technology sectors.

The Government congratulates Mr Dyer on his reappointment and looks forward to continuing to work with him to resolve community concerns around large scale energy developments.
