The Reducing Carbon Building Communities Fund will be launched at the Carbon Market Institute Summit in Melbourne tomorrow(Wednesday).
The Australian-first Fund will connect corporate Australia to Australian carbon farming projects with environmental, social and/or cultural values, including Indigenous savanna burning projects.
WHO:
- Rowan Foley, who has founded the Fund, and other Indigenous rangers from Northern Australia
- Dr Marcia Langton, Fund Board member, who has long called for recognition of traditional Indigenous land management
- Lawyer Martijn Wilder AM, head of Baker McKenzie’s Global Environmental Markets and Climate Change practice, who is involved in the Fund’s establishment

The launch will be followed by a speech by Minister Frydenberg at the Summit.
