PRESS RELEASE

This month, Goldwind has opened a new local Information Centre in Bothwell for the Cattle Hill Wind Farm project.
Goldwind Community Engagement Manager Sunny Rutherford said the Information Centre will provide the latest information to the community while the project is under construction.
‘The Information Centre is a central point where community members can learn more details about the project, get regular project updates and ask questions. The Information Centre is part of the broader community engagement for the project, which includes information sharing initiatives and sponsorship of local community groups and events.
The Information Centre is in the centre of Bothwell and will be a convenient way for the local community and visitors to the area to learn firsthand about the project.’ Commented Sunny.
Bothwell resident and newly appointed Cattle Hill Wind Farm Community Relations Officer, Janet Monks, will be based at the Information Centre.
‘Community members are welcome to drop into the Information Centre and chat with Janet. Janet can explain the project, answer questions and give you the latest update on the project’s progress.’ Commented Sunny.
The Information Centre, located at 16 Patrick Street, will be open on the following days while the project is under construction:  Wednesday 9am – 12noon, Thursday 1pm – 4pm and Friday 9am – 4pm. Or by appointment outside of these hours.
Construction of the 48-turbine Cattle Hill Wind Farm commenced recently, with the project aiming to be fully operational in 2019. The project is expected to have up to 150 jobs on site during construction peaks on site and employ up to 10 permanent staff when operational.
