RenewEconomy is proud to announce that it has reached several significant readership traffic milestones in the last month, as interest in the federal election and its aftermath galvanise interest in climate change and clean energy policies, and alternative technologies such as solar and storage.
The most significant of the milestones has been passing the key metric of 100,000 unique visitors in a month. In the past month, RenewEconomy has had 135,000 unique visitors to the site. This firmly establishes RenewEconomy as by far the most widely read clean energy specialist news and analysis site in the country.
Numbers have grown consistently since the launch of the website in January, 2012, but the rate of growth has increased in recent months.
Another milestone achieved this month has been reaching 100,000 page views in a single week. We anticipate monthly page views of more than 350,000 for the month of September. This is up from 200,000 in July and 250,000 in August.
The daily newsletter also retains a strong and loyal readership. The newsletter has an industry-leading average open rate of 42 per cent, and its click rate is an extraordinary 24 per cent – around five times the industry average.
RenewEconomy would like to thank its regular readers and also its occasional visitors for their interest. We have recently upgraded our servers, so we hope that any problems accessing the site (caused by the increased interest) have now been resolved.
