Hurricane Milton has gone down as one of the most powerful Atlantic storms in recorded history, even spawning tornadoes across the state, claiming at least 23 lives in Florida and a reported $US50 billion in estimated damages to infrastructure.
This, of course, includes energy infrastructure, with millions going without power and some still waiting to be reconnected to the grid, more than a week later.
The storm may have been weaker than anticipated, but much of the destruction came from multiple tornadoes, one of which destroyed a Florida solar farm, carving a path across the 62 MW facility.
The pictures and video have come from the owner of the Lake Placid solar farm, the North Carolina-based power and gas company Duke Energy, which shows the level of destruction.
Remarkably, most of the single access trackers are still in tact, although it is not clear if they are still operating. The solar panels, however, have been cast far and wide.
The Lake Placid solar farm was opened in late 2019, after being developed and built by EDF Renewables.
