Energy Insiders Podcast: Debunking anti-renewable myths and “fair dinkum” power

Energy Insiders podcast

Simon Holmes à Court, from the Energy Transition Hub in Melbourne, spends much of his time challenging anti-renewable myths, and those who spread them. These include conservative commentators and other so-called “experts”, all the way up to new energy minister Angus Taylor.

Holmes à Court joins this week’s episode of Energy Insiders to look at some of the more outrageous myth-making – think Judith Sloan, Trevor St Baker, and the attacks on South Australia and even the Tesla big battery.

And we look at Taylor’s and the Coalition government’s obsession with “fair dinkum power” and the lessons to be learned from some recent failed and costly attempts to extend the life of ageing coal generators.
