Tritium Veefil-RT fast chargers chosen for EV research project in Slovakia

•                 Tritium’s Veefil-RT 50kW DC fast charger chosen for its high-technical specifications 

•                 Official launch by Slovakia’s Prime Minister 

Brisbane, Australia 18 December 2017: As part of a research project into e-mobility and Vehicle to Grid (V2G) charging in Slovakia, a Tritium Veefil-RT 50kW DC fast charger has been installed at the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava, where it has been officially unveiled on by Mr Robert Fico, Slovakia’s Prime Minister.
 
ZEROEMISSION, Tritium’s distributor in the region, has joined with Nissan Sales Central & Eastern Europe and the Slovak Academy of Sciences in the project, which is looking at how to implement the most innovative charging solutions across the country.
 
“Slovakia and all of Eastern Europe are strong emerging markets for EVs and for Tritium,” explains Tritium’s European Sales Manager, Manuel Fernandes, “and this particular project will develop to install further fast chargers in more strategic locations.”
 
ZEROEMISSION’s, CEO, Peter Nagy comments: “The Slovak Academy of Sciences is one of the world’s leading research establishments and required a particularly high technical specification in an EV fast charger.  Tritium’s Veefil-RT not only meets those requirements, it also has a number of unique features that makes it especially suitable as part of this project. 
In particular its liquid-cooled technology gives it a long and low-maintenance life cycle, and enables it to operate effectively in extreme temperatures.  An added bonus is the Veefil-RT is very quiet when in use and doesn’t intrude on the environment – important if the charger is located somewhere where noise could disturb people, for example outside a pavement café where a driver might wait while their battery is recharged.”
