PRESS RELEASE

Melbourne, Thursday October 13, 2016 – Tesla’s first integrated retail store in Melbourne opens in Chadstone Shopping Centre’s new luxury offering today. The store will host the award-winning Model S sedan and high-performing Model X SUV, and will give customers the opportunity to learn about and reserve the more affordable Tesla Model 3 sedan.

This store is the first retail-only store in Melbourne and follows service centres and stores in Richmond, Lower North Shore Sydney and a flagship store in Sydney’s Martin Place.

Tesla’s retail model, which is direct-to-customer, allows for future owners to customise the design of their vehicle utilising the in-store Design Studio. The Design Studio provides tactile décor palettes to mix and match, allowing the user to find their perfect combination. Customers will also be able to test drive the Model S with greater access to the surrounding roads.

Tesla owners will continue to benefit from the Tesla Destination Charging already proving popular at Chadstone. The service allows Tesla owners to top up whilst enjoying the centre’s retail experience, and receive priority parking near Myer.

At completion of Chadstone’s $660 million development, the centre will feature close to 600 retailers including some of the world’s most iconic luxury designer stores, an exciting collection of flagships, a range of general retail offerings, two new dining precincts and premium international retailers, which includes Tesla. Over the coming months, Chadstone is set to house more luxury brands under one roof than anywhere else in Australia.
