RHCS (Radiant Heating and Cooling Solutions Pty Ltd) has launched Heatpac solar and smart thermal storage heating systems and is now seeking industry partners to provide sales, installation and service support in locations across Australia.
Heatpac is a new range of European manufactured thermal storage heaters. Using advanced electronics, Heatpac electric heaters easily integrate with rooftop solar and time of use (off peak and smart meter) power sources to minimize heating costs in residential and small commercial spaces.
The range includes “Heatwave Solar”, a large capacity storage heater (32kWh thermal) designed to fully integrate with rooftop PV systems. Small to medium size “Heatboss Smart” heaters are designed to work with smart meters and any type of off peak power to minimize heating costs by storing heat using electricity during low tariff periods. Both products have comprehensive programming and WiFi control capability.
“The Heatpac range extends RHCS’ existing strong presence in hydronic heating systems for luxury homes and is a more affordable option suitable for all new or existing homes including apartments, aged care and affordable housing” said Nicholas McGloin, Business Development Manager.
“Electric storage heating has been the subject of renewed interest across Europe and Australian home owners stand to benefit with the large uptake of small scale solar systems, and with authorities like the Australian Energy Market Commission encouraging more uptake of off peak energy to take advantage of cheap power”.
“All our Heatpac products incorporate significant energy saving features as a result of the EU’s Ecodesign Directives that became effective early last year. They include smart features such as open window detection, distance control via an app, and power charging and temperature control to suit the requirements of the user and the off peak tariffs available to them. These allow the heater to know when it should operate, for how long and when it can turn itself off to save energy and therefore money.”
“We also think that energy utilities will be able to see the benefits, as all these electric storage units have potential to provide residential demand response on grid and assist in mitigating high voltage problems in some cases.”
