Monday 18 November, Sydney. Today, Bright Sparks launches as a new space for young energy professionals to network, share knowledge and gain industry skills to become future leaders in Australia’s clean energy transition.
Bright Sparks – Clean Energy Crew takes inspiration from global climate strikes and climate emergency declarations and an acknowledgment that the future of the energy market lies in clean energy.
On Thursday 21 November, emerging clean energy leaders are invited to an ‘Energy Bonanza’ at EnergyLab, Chippendale for the launch of Bright Sparks – Clean Energy Crew and an interactive evening exploring the role young people play in clean energy and climate change action.
The Energy Bonanza will feature insights from industry leaders Justine Jervinan (UNSW Energy Institute), Olivia Kember (Energetics) and Tom Blake (Arup).
As part of the Climate Reality Project’s global initiative 24 Hours of Reality, young leaders Caetano Mantovanni (Ecovantage) and Thomas Schroder (South Pole) will present on the state of the climate crisis and the clean energy opportunity for emissions reduction.
Bright Sparks will host one of over 80 presentations happening across Australia and the Pacific as part of 24 Hours of Reality – feeding into a global conversation about creating a better future for the planet.

Now is the time for young people to come together to take real climate action and collaborate as leaders in our clean energy future,” said Jacqui Fetchet, founder of Bright Sparks. “Bright Sparks equips, connects and empowers young people to drive the change we need to cut emissions and transition to a clean energy sector.”
Bright Sparks invites young people working or interested in clean energy to attend the Energy Bonanza and join the Bright Sparks platforms to help play a role in the clean energy future.
