ENSIA

Did you know the first high-power solar cell was developed in 1954? Or that since the late 2000s renewable energy has accounted for over half of new power generating capacity in Europe? How about that in the United States in 2013, 13 percent of electricity generation came from renewables — a 12 percent increase over the previous year?

A new infographic produced by the New Jersey Institute of Technology shows the evolution of renewable energy around the world. Renewables continue to increase in efficiency while adoption and job growth around renewable energy are steadily growing around the world. And with new technological advances on the horizon, the future continues to look bright for renewable energy.
