About the Green Globe Awards

An independent panel of sustainability experts selected this year’s winners. The Green Globe Awards are an initiative of the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage and recognise people and organisations committed to working on environmental sustainability – now and into the future. Awards were announced by the Hon Gabrielle Upton, Minister for the Environment, Local Government and Heritage at a gala event at the Art Gallery of NSW last night, October 19, 2017.

The Green Globe Awards are home to a community of established sustainability professionals and upcoming community influencers.

Win recognises Enova’s commitment to community

“Winning a Green Globe Award means the world to Enova Energy’s customers, staff and our 1,200 community shareholders, and community partners who helped us create a positive social enterprise”, says Alison Crook, AO, Enova Energy.  “This is a real boost of recognition as we launch our first community solar garden to enable access to solar for people who can’t have it on their roof for any reason.”

“It also recognises and acknowledges the strength and viability of the vision to bring the power back to the grass roots of community” says Alison.

The Green Globe Awards are the NSW Government’s awards for leadership, commitment and innovation in sustainability. They showcase people and projects making real progress toward sustainability.
