The Australian Technologies Competition (ATC) has announced that four of its previous winners have been named in the Global Cleantech Cluster Association (GCCA) 2014 Later Stage Awards Global Top 30.
These companies have a proven track record in their home market and plan to expand globally. Using a rigorous analysis, each of the 200 nominated global companies was evaluated on both their ability to build long term profitable businesses and attract the required investment.
The Global Top 10 winners and one Grand Prize winner will be determined by a panel of global investors and announced at the 5th annual CleanTech Investing Seminar in Lausanne, Switzerland on December 3, 2014.
The Australian Technologies Competition’s winners in the Global Top 30 are:
• BluGlass Limited for Best in Lighting/ Energy Efficiency
• Global Future Solutions for Best in Food/urban agriculture
• Organic Response for Best in Lighting/ Energy Efficiency
• Raygen Resources for Best in Solar/Wind
“The 2014 Global Top 30 companies exhibit market strength, breakthrough innovation, and a competitive position for growth,” said Dr Peter Adriaens, Head Judge of the GCCA Later Stage Awards and CEO of the KeyStone Compact Group Ltd, a global strategy and investment-level business analytics company.
The Top 30 will now be evaluated by leading global venture capital and cleantech judges to decide the winners for the 10 sector awards and overall global champion.
With more than $3.5 billion invested in clean technology, the GCCA judges include SJF Ventures, Blue Hill Partners, Spring Capital, Sofinnova Partners and many more.
The Finalists from the Australian Technologies Competition are automatically nominated into the GCCA Late Stage Cleantech Awards to increase their global exposure and profile of cleantech innovation in Australia. Australian Technologies Competition Organiser, John O’Brien said today.

I have no doubt that Australia will be celebrating at the awards night in Switzerland,” O’Brien said.
The GCCA Later Stage Awards ceremony will be held on December 3, 2014 at the CleanTech Investing Seminar in Lausanne, Switzerland. This event brings together the very best game-changing technologies and entrepreneurs with a wide range of cleantech investors, corporate investors and family offices.
