ABB to showcase next generation electric vehicle charging solutions at All Energy Australia

Published by
ABB is to use Australia’s premier, clean and renewable energy event to demonstrate how fast charging is the new refueling solution for electric vehicles.
ABB will be at the 10th Anniversary All Energy Australia from 3-4 October, 2018, for the Australian launch of one of the world’s fastest electric vehicle chargers, the Terra HPC 175-350kW High Power electric vehicle charger. In addition, ABB will be showcasing its Terra multi-standard fast-charger and EVLunic AC wallbox for domestic charging.
The Terra HPC was developed to overcome the challenge of range anxiety. It takes only eight minutes to add 200 kilometers to a vehicle’s range – that is enough to travel from the All Energy Show in Melbourne to Apollo Bay, from Sydney to Newcastle, or a return trip from Brisbane to the Gold Coast.
As sponsor of the ABB FIA Formula-E championship, one of the all-electric racing car simulators will be the central attraction of ABB’s stand, demonstrating the company’s commitment to powering the world without consuming the earth.
ABB entered the EV-charging market back in 2010, and today has a fast growing global installed base of 8,000 ABB DC chargers, including high-power chargers up to 350 kW, installed across 68 countries, more chargers than any other manufacturer.
Combined with its headline sponsorship of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship, ABB has assumed global leadership position in electric vehicle charging solutions. Its portfolio includes high-quality AC wallboxes, reliable DC fast charging stations and on-demand electric bus charging systems.
As the latest addition to its range of chargers, the Terra HPC charger was initially developed for Electrify America in the US, where it is now being deployed at hundreds of charging stations in metropolitan areas and along national highways.
Meanwhile, the new EVLunic AC wallbox portfolio, comprised of 52 different variants, provides a high quality, cost effective electric car charging point for private and business use. Easy to fit and with a compact design of 50 by 25 cm, the wallbox can be installed at homes or offices.
Fortune Magazine recently ranked ABB #8 on its list of companies that are ‘changing the world’ for the advances it has made in e-mobility and electric vehicle charging.
ABB’s full range of solutions for electric vehicle charging can be viewed on Stand 1928 from 3-4 October at All Energy Australia, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in Melbourne
