The increase in demand is expected to coincide with the release of the company’s 2015 models — which are currently being finished up in the company’s recently revamped workshop.
“A call to Hollywood Electrics, its top US dealership, confirms that this year’s pre-orders are up and, indeed, that it recently announced a deal with the Burbank Police Department to supply that agency with some new patrol models from Zero,” Autoblog Green notes. “Of course, the company has an international reach and it also just struck a distribution deal that would see its bikes sold in the massive Indonesian market.”
It’s not all that surprising to see demand for the company’s electric motorcycles continue growing — the bikes are quite nice and well made. It will be interesting to see if the recent plunge in oil/gas prices will have any effect on that expected rise in demand though.
Those who haven’t been familiarized with the brand yet may like to take a look at the videos below, which should give you a good overview of the bikes on offer. In particular, the one that shows how incredibly quiet the bikes are is quite interesting. Speaking for myself, one of the main reasons motorcycles have never appealed to me is because of the noise, so that’s definitely a selling point. Enjoy.
