Two weeks to go: Gill Owen Essay Prize and $15,000 travelling scholarship

A reminder for energy efficiency and social justice warriors and scribes: Entries close for the  $5000 Gill Owen Essay Prize on Friday 9th November 2018.  As announced on 10 September, the Gill Owen Essay prize honours the life and work of Dr Gill Owen, who was a eminent researcher and advocate for fairness and energy efficiency, before her untimely death in 2016.  The winning essay will be published in Renew Economy.
Energy Consumers Australia is also commemorating Gill Owen’s work by offering an scholarship up the value of $15,000. The Gill Owen Scholarship supports an individual to travel internationally to research innovative ideas and initiatives that will be relevant to improving outcomes for consumers in the Australian energy market.  Applications for this scholarship also close on Friday 9th November 2018.
