Tesla planning to open first service centre and store in Brisbane

Tesla is planning to open its third service centre in Australia, combined with the first store for Queensland, both in Brisbane. Following 12-months of conducting test drives in the heart of Brisbane and the completion of the Supercharger Network connecting the major cities along the east coast up to Brisbane, this location is the next obvious place for expansion and an application for construction has taken place.

The Brisbane Service Centre and Store follows service centres and stores in Richmond and Lower North Shore Sydney, and more recently retail stores in Melbourne’s Chadstone and a flagship store in Sydney’s Martin Place.
 
The Service Centre and Store is planned for 1062 Ann St, Fortitude Valley, providing a convenient location suitable for owner access when servicing and convenience for test driving the latest Model S and Model X variants. The floorplan is likely to include a showroom with enough space to showcase three vehicles, a Design Studio, a Tesla Powerwall display and  lounge. Whilst a delivery bay, and service centre will be operational alongside. Tesla will also accommodate its growing team operating both at the store and across the portfolio of energy products; Tesla Powerwall and Tesla Powerpack.
 
Tesla’s retail model, which is direct-to-customer, allows for customers to deal directly with Tesla staff with the comfort of a fixed price policy. Customers can choose to be educated about Tesla’s products and then either order in-store, or discuss it further and make the order in the comfort of their home via the online ordering system.
 
The new Tesla Service Centre and Store is set to open in the second half of 2017.
