RenewEconomy last week reached a significant milestone, passing the 40 million mark for page views as readership continues its strong growth in recent years.
In 2018, RenewEconomy reached more than 10 million page views for the calendar year for the first time, and 2019 indicates further growth – despite the launch of its new sister site – The Driven – that is focused on electric vehicle news and analysis.
So far, in just eight months, The Driven has reached nearly 1.4 million page views, and is on an annualised rate of more than 3.5 million a year – although its growth is expected to continue, reflecting the huge interest in EVs in the Australian public.
This week, we are also delighted to announce the addition of Michael Mazengarb to the reporting team, based in Sydney. Michael, who has spent more than a decade working in and around the renewables industry, including some extensive writing, will focus on policy, regulatory matters and renewables.
The addition of Michael means that RenewEconomy will be in a position not just to expand its coverage of renewables and climate policy in Australia, but also to deepen. It’s been hard keeping up with all the events and the dramatic changes that have occurred, now we hope to have more time for background, analysis and investigation.
We thank everyone for their support – to the readers, sponsors, advertisers, and the growing number of donors who keep the website ticking over.
