PRESS RELEASE

If you are near Byron Shire and you want to know what’s going on with renewable energy in the region, then Renew Fest is the place for you!

There’s a Battery Expo, with representatives from Tesla, LG Chem, Enphase, RedFlow and Aquion there to answer your questions.

The festival has a range of presentations and workshops, with the renewable energy stream including speakers from Tesla, Reposit, Enova, Suncrowd, EnergyAE and ITP Renewables. There will be presentations on solar water heaters, the Mullumbimby Hydro scheme, transitioning Byron Shire to 100% renewables, virtual power stations and of course battery storage!

It is a general sustainability festival so the other streams cover topics as diverse as biodiversity, food security, human habitat, ethical economics and humanity renewal.

There’s also food, stalls, and excellent live music! and of course activities for the kids.

It runs for 2 days, 6-7 May, at Mullumbimby Showgrounds and is only $75! Under 16s are free.

And of course, this is Australia’s only waste-free festival! Really.
