WENZHOU, China, 28 July 2026 – The global residential energy storage system market reached 38.1 GWh in 2025, according to the white paper The Global Residential Energy Storage System Market (2026), jointly released by Fox ESS and independent international consulting firm Frost & Sullivan. The report estimates a 54.6% CAGR from 2021 to 2025 and projects growth to 128.7 GWh by 2030, sustaining a 27.3% CAGR over 2026–2030.
The white paper ranks Fox ESS as No. 1 in 2025 residential energy storage system shipments, reporting a 10.5% market share and outperforming other major players in the sector. Earlier this year, Fox ESS was also recognised as No. 1 in the residential energy storage market by S&P Global Energy. The company provides integrated PV–storage–charging–heat solutions, supported by locally delivered service capabilities around the world.

The report also notes that the wider global energy storage system market, covering utility-scale and commercial segments, grew even faster, expanding from 26.9 GWh in 2021 to 419.7 GWh in 2025 (a 98.8% CAGR). It is forecast to reach 1,507.5 GWh by 2030, supported by a 25.4% CAGR over 2026–2030.
As the energy transition accelerates, residential energy storage is set to move from an optional backup to a core element of home energy infrastructure. The companies best positioned to capture long-term value will be those that combine technical innovation, local delivery, and ecosystem partnerships.
