Launch of National Smart Energy Training Centre

PRESS RELEASE

The Australian Solar Council and Energy Storage Council – peak bodies for the solar and storage industries – have today launched the National Smart Energy Training Centre, Australia’s solar and storage and smart energy training program.

John Grimes, Chief Executive of the Australian Solar Council and Energy Storage Council says “Australia’s renewables industry is thriving, with record growth in residential, commercial and large-scale solar and storage”.

“As energy storage and energy management are increasingly in demand, the skill set required is becoming more sophisticated and complex.  The Smart Energy Training Centre will help fill this gap.”

The Smart Energy Training Centre is an industry first collaboration between the Australian Solar Council and Energy Storage Council with industry leading training providers: Future Skills, Solar Training Centre and SolarQuip.

“This consortium will work collaboratively to provide the very best, sector wide training nationwide, under a single brand.”

“Our training partners will provide students with up to date industry skills – and the opportunity to learn from professionals who actually work with and install smart energy solutions”, said John.

All training will draw on the latest teaching and learning resources, assessment strategies, and use the best resourced and purpose designed training facilities kitted out with leading manufacturers brands.
