PRESS RELEASE

Ingeteam has helped to commission Parliament Solar, Ingeteam’s largest installation of its photovoltaic inverters in the United States to date. Ingeteam has supplied photovoltaic inverters for the 640 MWdc project, located in Waller County just outside the city of Houston, Texas developed and managed by Parliament Energy. The project is expected to generate approximately 1,100 GWh of clean energy per annum — the equivalent of the annual energy consumption of around 140,000 homes in Texas.

Ingeteam’s technological supply for the Parliament solar project included 149 INGECON® SUN 3Power Series C liquid-cooled central photovoltaic inverters, integrated into 80 UL-certified transformer stations, delivered as a turnkey solution ready to install. The scope of supply also included the commissioning work of the plant, carried out from the company’s production facility in Milwaukee. Thanks to the use of the grid-forming technique, the system was commissioned faster than originally expected.

In the words of Ingeteam’s Vice President & General Manager for Solar PV & BESS in the United States, Nohra Nasr: “Our experience in the market and the fact that we have a consolidated subsidiary on US soil have been key factors when awarding and executing the project. We hope it will be the first in a long list with this client.”

To date, Ingeteam has supplied more than 6 GW of solar inverters and energy storage for the US market, a country that continues to have great growth prospects in the installation of renewable energy projects.

Based on a Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) report, utility-scale solar capacity exceeded that of nuclear power as of January 2024. Solar accounted for 81.5% of all new generating capacity placed into service in 2024. New solar capacity added in 2024 is almost nine times that added by natural gas and nuclear power combined.
