Free home vehicle charging for a year with Tesla

PRESS RELEASE

From Friday 9 June, Tesla will offer to arrange for any customer who orders a car before 31 July to receive free electricity at their home address for vehicle charging (unlimited kilometres) for an entire year by providing AGL’s Electric Car Plan on behalf of the customer, should the customer choose to connect their home electricity with AGL.

Tesla is committed to making the ownership and purchasing process as easy as possible for future owners. Every store selling Model S and Model X is operated by Tesla. In Australia, Tesla also offers Tesla Finance and InsureMyTesla to ensure the transition to ownership is as seamless as possible, and now with the offer to arrange free electricity for charging their vehicle for a year should the customer wish to transfer their home’s electricity account to AGL, owning an electric vehicle becomes even more compelling.

AGL’s Electric Car Plan will also be carbon offset through their Future Forests program. This means with the AGL plan, the carbon emissions associated with the electricity used to charge your electric vehicle at your home are 100% offset.

To be eligible for Tesla to arrange for a year of free vehicle charging with AGL, should the customer choose to connect their electricity with AGL, the customer must purchase their Tesla vehicle prior to 31 July and take up the AGL Electric Car Plan before 31 August 2017. All existing orders (those who have not taken delivery of their vehicle yet) will also be eligible.

NB: Only single dwelling or homes are eligible due to the install of the meter
