Energy Insiders Podcast: Why wind is better value than solar

Tilt Renewables CEO Deion Campbell joins the Energy Insiders podcast to explain why wind farms are better value than solar right now, with the latter being cruelled by the sheer scale of rooftop PV in the market which are pushing down middle of the day prices.

Campbell also discusses the challenges at the Dundonnell wind project in Victoria, the challenges for AEMO, and his company’s plans for the future, including in battery storage and other firming technologies.

And we look at the big vision statements from the NSW government to transition its generation fleet from coal to renewables, and Fortescue’s huge plans for renewables at a scale not seen before.
