PRESS RELEASE
Australia’s leading energy management, technology and services company Energy Action Limited (ASX:EAX) today announced the launch of the Energy Action mobile app, an innovative data analytics platform that enables business users to easily access energy data for usage, spend and carbon emissions.
The Energy Action mobile app is the first of its kind in the Australian market, and visualises daily electricity usage and rolling monthly usage comparisons so commercial and industrial energy users can easily track rising and falling usage and associated costs.
Where businesses users have multiple sites, the app provides aggregate data and the ability to access a more detailed breakdown of individual site’s analytics. For Energy Action customers using the Energy Metrics Gold and Platinum service, the app also displays cost savings that Energy Action has delivered over the current financial year as well as the number of cases that are being managed with the retailer.
A key feature of the app are alerts that notify users where consumption is higher than the previous period, which empowers businesses to take action to manage usage, carbon emissions and costs over time.
Commenting on the launch of the app, Energy Action’s CEO Ivan Slavich, said, “With current market volatility and the impact of rising energy prices, the launch of the Energy Action app is a direct response to customer demand for even greater ability to control and manage electricity usage.”
“The Energy Action app is the first of its kind in Australia, and leverages existing data feeds, displayed in an easy to use format that is available anytime, anywhere. Available on mobile devices, the app ensures that customers have constant access to electricity usage, and can manage this even when operating remotely. “
“Not only can customers track their usage and spend, but are also alerted to changes in energy usage that can have a real impact on costs. These insights empower businesses to better manage price risks and usage. For example, the app will notify you if your peak usage is higher than anytime in the previous 12 months which can help businesses take action to ensure that this doesn’t continue to happen,” Mr. Slavich concluded.
The app is available for download on iOS, Android and Windows operating systems.
