The Clean Energy Council (CEC) is the main organisation the State and Federal Governments, Energy Regulators and other major stakeholders turn to when they want to consult with the renewable energy industry.
The CEC is not the only industry association, and of course these stakeholders consult widely. But you can be sure the CEC’s position on key issues does carry weight.
Next week, Clean Energy Council (CEC) members will vote for 5 director positions on the board from a strong field of 10 candidates. The candidates come from a range of industry segments and all are clearly committed to the sustainable growth of the renewable energy sector in Australia.
If history is anything to go by many CEC members will not vote, perhaps as network/associate members with only 1 or 2 votes to cast they feel their individual vote will not count compared to the sponsoring members, who have 20. But, as a group, they command the same voting power.
As with all industry associations the CEC will benefit from having a diverse board that represents the makeup of member companies and their interests. Your vote counts, so use it!
