Tasmania wind farms have taken most of the top places in the ranks of best performing wind farms in the month of October, although one of the country’s northern most wind farms has also ranked highly.
The monthly charts of best performing wind and solar facilities has been released by Rystad Energy, and this month it is topped by Woolnorth in Tasmania, with Granville Harbour and Cattle Hill in the same state also performing well.
The other strong performing wind farms were scattered around the country, with the Kennedy energy park in north Queensland finishing second, Crowlands in Vitoria finishing fourth, and Flat Rocks in Western Australia also performing well.
In the solar side, the results were more predictable, given the season, with all but two of the top 20 solar assets based in NSW and Queensland. The Griffith solar farm was best ranking solar asset, followed by the Blue Grass , Columboola and Edenvale solar farms in Queensland.
The only two in the top 20 from different stages were Gannawarra in Victoria, and Greenough River – Australia’s very first large scale solar farm – in Western Australia.
