Susan Kennedy is the former chief of staff to California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Now the two have teamed up to offer artificial intelligence and machine learning to integrated wind, solar and storage.

Their company AMS has signed contracts with some 2000MW of wind, solar and storage capacity in Australia, and has already demonstrated results with the Snowtown wind farm in South Australia, enabling the owner to dodge negative prices.

Kennedy joins the Energy Insiders podcast to explain why humans can’t keep up with the speed of decision-making needed for fast-reacting inverter-based technologies, why Australia’s energy transition is a focus of the whole world, and some of the energy politics in the US and elsewhere.
