Energy Insiders Podcast February 27

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Germany’s sonnen has announced plans to build the first big manufacturing plans for battery storage in Australia, with production scheduled to begin in South Australia by the end of the year.

In this latest episode of Energy Insiders, Chris Parratt, the head of sonnen’s Australia and NSW operations, explains the motivation behind the plan, and the state of the battery storage market, which he says will be the strongest in the world.

Also, regular insiders David Leitch and Giles Parkinson go over the week’s news, including the mounting concerns about the National Energy Guarantee, even from those who are supposed to be onside, and confirmation that Snowy 2.0 needs ambitious wind and solar targets to make it work.
