More than 170 countries last week signed the Paris climate agreement that aims to cap global temperature rises to between 1.5°C and 2°C. Fortunately, there were a lot of speeches.

    Republican Caucus delegate Marti Halverson is quoted today supporting cash for votes at the Republican convention, according her experience of three conventions:
    “We don’t pay for a meal at the convention, however it’s usually our
    coal industry that buys our dinner. It’s our transmission line companies
    that will provide a lunch or something. So it’s Wyoming companies,” she
    said.
