New Energy and Resources appointment for Frazer-Nash Consultancy

Marc Lyell

PRESS RELEASE

Frazer-Nash Consultancy has appointed Marc Lyell to head up its Energy and Resources team working from the company’s Adelaide office, reporting to the Australian Director, Jonathan Armstrong.

Frazer-Nash continues to buck the trend and has returned strong and sustainable growth over the five years it has been present in Australia. With offices in Adelaide, Melbourne and Canberra, Frazer-Nash now provides services to companies across the country.

Jonathan Armstrong explained: “Australia’s economy has changed. The fall in commodity prices has moved the focus from the top line to the bottom line. The market for consultancy has changed too. Consultancy needs to reduce the cost of operations, not just provide manpower to projects. For the past 25 years our business model has always been to truly understand our clients’ problems and provide the best solutions. We will take risk. We will innovate. We will make a difference. That’s why we grew by over 30% last year.”

Frazer-Nash has been well known in highly regulated sectors such as Defence, Offshore Oil & Gas, Nuclear and Rail for a number of years and has been actively growing its Energy & Resources sector with a continued focus on value and also making best use of its innovative approach. With a highly skilled workforce it is able to deliver multi-disciplinary solutions wherever there is engineering complexity. Marc’s appointment underscores the company’s commitment to bringing its first principles approach to new clients in the Oil & Gas, Mining, Renewable and Conventional Energy sectors.

Frazer-Nash places a lot of emphasis on hiring the best talent. Jonathan commented :“We don’t just look for excellent technical skills. We also look for individuals who care deeply and will take ownership of our clients’ problems. The appointment of Marc Lyell to the Business Manager role brings a breadth of experience to the business. With a background that includes time in Oil & Gas, Pharmaceuticals and delivering major infrastructure projects, his passion for solving difficult problems and finding value-add solutions for our clients are qualities that have been the hallmark of our business model for 25 years.”

Commenting on his appointment Marc said: “Frazer-Nash has an enviable reputation for its ability to solve complex engineering problems. I’m thrilled to be part of a team who supports its clients so successfully and concentrates on getting to the heart of a client’s problem”.

Originally from Scotland, Marc has spent almost half his 30-year career in Australia. He replaces the current Energy and Resources Business Manager, Greg Pope who returns to Frazer-Nash UK following a successful three year Australian secondment.
